I'm Asmaa Adeleye, and I go by the pseudonym Naailah. I stumbled on a haircare class on a fateful day, and it all sprang up from there. I wanted to help people take better care of their hair and debunk a lot of myths surrounding hair — especially African hair.
I've once been in the phase where I hated everything about my hair. It kept breaking, staying stagnant, and I kept thinking — what's the point? Until I found out the cause: the wrong patterns and their compounding effects. So I started doing the right things, and that's how Naailah's Tresses was born.
For Muslims, our hair is a trust (amaanah) given to us by Allāh, and that's more the reason we should take care of it properly. But this is for everyone — males, females, anyone who wants the best for their hair.
